Health care in the U.S. is in a state of turmoil. There is great uncertainty about the future of the Affordable Care Act and efforts by Congress to replace it. In many rural states — including West Virginia — there are shortages of doctors and specialists. And there is a critical shortage of nurses nationwide. It is something of a perfect storm in the health-care industry.
