Wyoming Receives AHCA Silver Award; Genesis Facilities in Fort Ashby, Ansted Receive Bronze
Wyoming Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, a member of the AMFM family in New Richmond, received the prestigious 2016 Silver National Quality Award from the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) during the recent annual convention in Nashville.
Silver award guidelines are based on the Baldrige Health Care Criteria for Performance Excellence, AHCA said. Wyoming Nursing & Rehabilitation Center previously received a Bronze award from AHCA.
The National Quality Award program has three levels: Bronze, Silver and Gold. Facilities begin the quality improvement process at the Bronze level and must receive an award at each level before proceeding to the next.
As a recipient of the Silver award, Wyoming Nursing & Rehabilitation Center now may achieve performance levels that meet the criteria required for the Gold Excellence in Quality award.
Receiving Bronze awards during the annual convention were Dawnview Center, Genesis Healthcare, in Fort Ashby and Ansted Center, Genesis Healthcare, in Ansted.
AHCA said the goal of the Bronze award is to provide applicants the tools and resources they need for continuous performance improvement.
