Governmental Affairs
Welcome to the Government Affairs page!
It's our goal to give you the tools to become more politically active. It's through participation in the governmental process that you can better the long term care profession for residents, families and staff. There are several ways to do this:
Monitor the introduced bills, rule filings and meetings that directly impact your job as a long term care provider! Government is getting more transparent by the year. There is no reason to not educate yourself on the issues and players.
Let your voice be heard! With your expertise in the profession and with your understanding of the issues and key contacts in the legislative bodies, contact your federal and state legislators directly through phone calls, letters and e-mail, and impact their thought process on long term care issues before they cast their all-important vote.
Become a member of the WVHC-PAC! Now you know the issues and you know the legislators. When you join and contribute to the WV Health Care Political Action Committee, you help support those who supported long term care in their actions.
(WVHC-PAC is a state PAC and does not participate in federal elections. All contributions are voluntary and are from personal, not corporate moneys. Corporate contributions are prohibited by law. WVHC-PAC does not solicit contributions from employees who are not licensed professionals.)
By clicking the "Resources" button to the left of the screen, you will find tools and instructions to accomplish the missions above!
"Thank you for becoming more active in YOUR government!"
